How the pages here are made
These pages come from the practice's own work in Dallas and from public Texas sources, with software used in the draft and a person checking the result. Phone us about a wrong line and we change that line on the page itself.
We print a number only after we can point at the public page it came from. A story on this site is a shape we see, not a named client. Layouts of a month or a letter are examples, not a promise about your file.
Before a page is published, the public source for each figure is opened again, the limits in the next section are read against every claim about the work, and any story is checked so it names no client and prints no client's numbers.
If a company published the number, the page names that company beside it. A statute is tied to the section and to the day that page was read. We open that section again whenever the page changes. A figure we cannot point to a public page for stays off the site, even when we are sure we have heard it before.
The layouts of a month, a list, or a letter on this site are structure only. A visitor never sees a client's totals sitting on those layouts. They show the shape of the work, and they are not a promise about your file.
A correction is made on the page itself, and the date on the page moves when the line moves. A wrong public figure is rewritten on the page or taken off, the same day we confirm the miss. What is not done here
This practice keeps books, prepares returns, and helps an owner decide a year. It does not hold a CPA license, and it is not a CPA firm. An audit, a review, a compilation, or any report that gives assurance on financial statements goes to a firm that can sign that report. Attest letters are the exception handled by naming a signing firm before any monthly close begins, and that exception covers an audit, a review, and a compilation.
Payday on this site is the setup of a payroll service you already operate, and the runs stay in your hands. We do not process payroll. An examination or an appeal is a room we do not enter for you. When a notice lists records, we can gather those named pages from the file.
Under the Texas Occupations Code, preparing a return, advising an owner, and drafting statements that carry no assurance are open to someone who does not hold a CPA license. Assurance reports stay with firms that hold the license, which is why we do not sign them. The statute text is on the Texas Legislature site, Occupations Code sections 901.451, 901.453, and 901.456.
One practical limit, so the first call is not the first time you hear it. Monthly work starts after the open months are closed, or we decline. On that first call we name whether the open months get closed first or whether we decline the file.
An older month can still be open while the sales report on the twentieth has to be filed. We will say which of those we can take, and which one waits its turn.
We name that split on the first call, before any scope is signed, so the filing and the open month are not a surprise in the same week.
